Cloud Cockoo

This painting emerged from me when I was listening to the book Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr. When I started this painting I set out to paint a botanical, Yet somehow it turned into my emotions and feelings from the book. While I think it resembles a botanical or garden painting, my feelings of that phenomenal book transformed regular flowers into whimsy and a dance of color and shapes.
